DAWN JOHNSTON
LAST YEAR'S FIRST PLACE WINNER
Dawn Johnston is a
screenwriter who divides her time between Toronto and Prince Edward Island,
Canada. She is also an exclusive illustrator for istockphoto.com and
occasionally works as a federal contractor. Her short script, “Inside Out,” was
a finalist in the Table Read My Screenplay, and the Champion Screenplay
competitions. Her feature script, “The Fine Art of Leaving Footprints,” placed
first in the 2012 One In Ten Screenplay contest. She is currently polishing a
feature comedy, “The Cripple Creek Experience,” about a group of seniors who
con the con artists who stole their life savings. She laments her average
suburban upbringing for not providing her with the knowledge to write this
script without extensive research.
